Kevin Wilson was a 26 - year-old Local 1900 member who died in a tragic workplace accident in 2007. After his death, the USW created the Kevin Wilson Initiative to help eliminate workplace accidents and fatalities in the industries it represents.

Polkki explained how the USW offers low cost OSHA safety training through the Kevin Wilson Initiative, often at a more affordable cost than what outside contractors provide.
