Jacob Morrison, Secretary-Treasurer of the North Alabama Area Labor Council, appeared on the America’s Work Force Union Podcast and discussed his op-ed on al.com, where he rebuked former Auburn football coach and current Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville, who critized the work ethic of Millenials.

Morrison co-hosts The Valley Labor Report podcast, which focuses on organized labor and worker, civil and human rights.

He countered Tuberville’s claim that Millennials have a poor work ethic by stating there are 20 percent more working-age citizens with jobs than there were in 1980.

Morrison then talked about a paper mill lockout in Alabama, where mill workers are forced to work long hours, often seven days in a row. Management wants to eliminate overtime and locked the workers out in an attempt to break the union.
