Montana AFL-CIO Communications Director James Burrows joined the America’s Work Force Union Podcast and discussed “Workers are Watching,” the federation’s campaign to prevent “So-Called” Right to Work legislation in the state.

Last year, the labor movement prevented “So-Called” Right to Work legislation to become law in Montana, a state with a Republican-controlled legislature, Burrows said. He spoke about the Montana AFL-CIO’s efforts to educate politicians about the realities of such laws and to prevent future attacks on labor unions.

Burrows also spoke about the growth in union density among Montana workers, which he credited in part to successful organizing campaigns at the Bozeman Daily Chronicle and the Black Coffee Roasting Company.
