United Auto Workers (UAW) Assistant Legislative Director Desiree Hoffman joined the America’s Work Force Union Podcast and discussed how the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductor (CHIPS) for America Act could help solve some of the nation’s supply chain problems and revitalize domestic manufacturing.

Hoffman urged voters to remember the two greatest accomplishments of the Biden administration in the last month -- the CHIPS Act and the Inflation Reduction Act -- when they head to the polls in November.

She said the CHIPS Act will make the nation’s supply chains more resilient and will provide a much-needed boost to American manufacturing.

Hoffman then explained how the Inflation Reduction Act will help lower the cost of prescription drugs by allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices.

She then stressed the need to keep the government funded over the next several months to avoid a shutdown, as well as the need for the Biden Administration to fill open judicial seats.
