United Labor Agency (ULA) Executive Director David Megenhardt joined the America’s WorkForce Union Podcast to discuss employment openings at the agency.

He explained how the ULA is not immune to the transformative changes of the Great Resignation. As a result, the agency is actively looking to fill numerous in-house positions. The ULA is hiring for open positions across all phases of its staffing. Working with the agency is an opportunity to improve people’s lives by helping them find meaningful employment, he added.

Megenhardt spoke about seasonal work opportunities for the Cleveland Metroparks. A large recruitment drive is taking place at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo on March 12.

He also talked about job opportunities within the manufacturing sector in the Cleveland area. He described career openings in manufacturing as a job seeker’s market.

Lastly, Megenhardt discussed career services offered by the ULA, including virtual and in-person career workshops that train job seekers on crafting resumes, interview preparation and how to look for a job. He talked about the importance of including critical keywords in resumes to successfully be found by database algorithms.
