Plumbers Local 34 plumbing apprentice Stephanie Mullin joined the America’s Work Force Union Podcast and discussed the Tradeswomen Build Nations Conference and the solidarity it provides women in the trades.

Held in October in Las Vegas, the TWBN Conference serves to empower women in the trades and address the unique challenges they experience in the workforce. Over 3,300 people attended the conference, including 2,900 women, Mullin said. She reflected on her experience at the conference and how it impacted her career. She also talked about the need to provide more childcare options to allow women to pursue careers in the trades.

Mullin then spoke about winning a Tradeswomen Heros award, which honors dedicated tradeswomen within the 14 International building trades unions affiliated with North America’s Building Trade Unions (NABTU).
