Communication Workers of America District 4 Administrative Director Frank Matthews appeared on today’s episode of America’s Work Force Union Podcast and spoke about a labor neutrality agreement between the CWA and Microsoft.

The agreement will go into effect 60 days after Microsoft’s proposed Activision Blizzard acquisition closes.

The labor neutrality agreement will allow employees to form a union, if desired, as Microsoft has guaranteed its neutrality on the issue. Unfortunately, Mathews pointed out Microsoft's competitors are fighting against organizing rather than allowing their employees to strive for healthier working conditions.

He also discussed the probability of increased funding for broadband expansion in underserved regions. Mathews explained how a positively altered budget would help expand the internet infrastructure in America and increase employment.

Listen to today’s episode to learn more about these topics.
