While it is too early to estimate a specific figure for the number of Steelworker jobs created, they have helped revive the economy, Mapp said.  He then spoke about the mid-term elections and the efforts of USW members to canvas for USW-endorsed candidates, many of whom were successfully elected to office.  He touched on the AFL-CIO Martin Luther King Jr. Civil and Human Rights Conference, which will be held in person this January for the first time in two years.
