Nation Magazine Contributor Ann Larson joined the America’s Work Force Union Podcast and discussed her article, “‘The Great Resignation’ Is a Great Exaggeration,” which challenged the concept that workers quit their jobs in record numbers and created a turning point for organized labor.

She explained her motivation to write the article came from her own experiences as a shift manager and cashier at a grocery store, where turnover was high and workers saw few gains.

Larson acknowledged the reality of the Great Resignation, the ongoing trend of workers quitting their jobs en masse, but she questioned how much it has actually changed workers’ pay and benefits.

Lastly, she spoke about the need for working people to have a voice in the media instead of the  media elite, the journalists at the top media outlets.
