In honor of the late United Steelworkers President Tom Conway and long-time friend and supporter of the America’s Work Force Union Podcast, we wanted to share some clips from his interviews over the last three years.

Conway was always open about his care and belief in the importance of knowing labor history. In honor of this, we hear his reasoning behind the USW’s use of the Homestead site to help establish this historical importance with new members.

During the work to find a solution to improving America’s infrastructure, Conway offered multiple takes on the need for investment. With investment in the workers, America would improve workers' lives and lift the strength of the middle class. Hear more as Conway gave multiple points over three different interviews on the show.

Not only was Conway known for his ability to rally his members and negotiate, but he was a skilled writer and covered several issues within the labor movement during his time. AWF host Ed Flash Ferenc discussed several of his articles and talked about the importance of being able to communicate and lead through more than just a voice but also the written word.

To hear more about Conway, press the play button above.
