Marc Dann, a founding partner of Advocate Attorneys and a contributing writer for Working Class Perspectives, joined the America’s Work Force Union Podcast and discussed his blog, “Why Dems Should Act Now on Pro-Consumer Legislation,” that explores the Democratic Party’s reluctance to protect consumers because it is largely beholden to corporate interests.

Dann urged Democrats in Congress to take advantage of the party’s control of both houses by eliminating forced consumer arbitration and updating antiquated consumer protection laws. He talked about how Democrats could leverage working class support by doing more to protect the interests of working class people.

Dann also talked about how his firm Advocate Attorneys helps fight for the rights of working families under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act that protects consumers from unfair debt collection practices.
