Dan Gallagher, Business Manager/Financial Secretary for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 38, joined the America’s Work Force Union Podcast and discussed the importance of a good work ethic and how it will create career opportunities.

Gallagher, a third-generation wireman, is a 30-year member of Local 38. Over the course of his career, he found that giving a hard day’s work will help you earn the respect of fellow electricians and it may also open up opportunities for career advancement. He then discussed a few of the traits apprentices need to stay on the pathway to the middle class.

Gallagher also spoke about the next IBEW International President Kenneth W. Cooper, who is from Ohio. Cooper begins his new position in January and Gallagher is positive Cooper will move the union forward.
