Ohio AFL-CIO President Tim Burga joined the America’s Work Force Union Podcast and discussed the role organized labor plays in getting the union vote out to the polls.

He also spoke about efforts by the Ohio AFL-CIO to educate voters about the issues critical to working families.

Burga then detailed the transformational success the Biden Administration has achieved including the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductor (CHIPS) for America Act and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

He explained the role organized labor plays in educating union members about their elected leaders and the issues that matter to working people. He feels the world is not as persuadable as it once was, but believes workers ultimately trust their fellow union members and count on them as an educational resource.

Burga also discussed last month’s Intel groundbreaking ceremony in Central Ohio and the 33rd Biennial Convention of the Ohio AFL-CIO, which took place last week in Columbus.
