Bartlett Maritime Corporation Founder and CEO Capt. Ed Bartlett, Jr. joined the America’s Work Force Union Podcast and gave an update on the Bartlett Maritime Plan to build a submarine service facility in Lorain, Ohio and a component repair facility in Lordstown, Ohio that would aid the U.S. Navy’s submarines.
Bartlett explained the facilities are needed because The Navy is behind the eight ball when it comes to the manufacturing and repair of the nation’s submarine fleet.
He announced he will visit officials at the Pentagon tomorrow and then visit with senior level Navy officials to discuss how to make his plan a reality. Bartlett said the plan is relatively affordable and is needed by the nation’s military. He expects to see significant progress made in the next two weeks.
