America's Work Force Union Podcast

Workers should seize the momentum of this unique time in labor history

Wade Rathke, Chief Organizer for Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) International and a contributing writer for Working Class Perspectives, joined the America’s Work Force Union Podcast and spoke about a recent blog he wrote entitled, “A Movement Moment and a Real NLRB.”

The blog explores why recent union wins at Amazon and Starbucks and a worker friendly National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) present a unique opportunity in labor history, and how workers should use this momentum to make meaningful change.

Rathke also talked about the possibility of the NLRB making captive audience meetings a violation of national labor laws, and why the Amazon Labor Union was successful in its efforts to unionize Amazon employees.
