Jeff Stoffer, Media and Communications Director for The American Legion, joined the America’s Work Force Union Podcast and discussed the U.S. Senate’s recent passage of the Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act, which would expand eligibility for healthcare and benefits to veterans exposed to burn pits and other toxins.
The legislation will now go back to the House of Representatives because the bill is a compromise of legislation passed earlier in the House. Stoffer is confident the House will pass the revised legislation.
He also spoke about the recent unveiling of a statue honoring American Legion Founder Theodore Roosevelt Jr. at a D-Day commemoration service in Normandy, France, and other articles that will appear in the July edition of The American Legion Magazine.
