Teamsters Local 665 Secretary-Treasurer Tony Delorio joined the America’s Work Force Union Podcast and discussed efforts by his Local to organize workers at Amy’s Kitchen and the deplorable conditions of their work environment.
Based in San Francisco, Local 665 represents over 6,000 working men and women in eight Bay Area counties.
The Local is working to organize over 600 Amy’s Kitchen workers. Though the company prides itself on being family-owned and organic, working conditions in its facilities are bad, Delorio said.
He also spoke about a successful union vote to organize 460 American Automobile Association (AAA) commission sales agents.
