Communications Workers of America (CWA) District 4 Administrative Director Frank Mathews joined the America’s Work Force Union Podcast and discussed a ground-breaking labor neutrality agreement between the CWA and Microsoft.
The agreement will apply to Activision Blizzard and begin 60 days after Microsoft’s acquisition of the company. It will allow workers to freely choose whether to be represented by a union.
Mathews also talked about Senate Bill 4192, which if passed, would eliminate tax breaks for companies who employ union busters, and the U.S. Call Center Worker and Consumer Protection Act, which, if passed, would prevent companies who offshore their call centers from receiving federal grants and federal guaranteed loans.
