Service Employees International Union Local 400 PG member Frankie Pinkney joined today's episode of America’s Work Force Union Podcast and discussed the Local’s relationship with schools in the Prince George's County Public School System.
SEIU Local 400 represents over 2,000 custodians, maintenance and food service workers who work in one of the 208 schools and centers in Prince George’s County, Md.
Pinkney said Local 400 members are dedicated to maintaining strong relationships with the school district. He noted some members are actively involved in the Local, as they peforrm volunteer work for the political department, help improve the county’s education system and endorse political leaders who support teachers.
