Bob Funk, Executive Director of LaborLab, appeared on the America’s Work Force Union Podcast and discussed his organization’s efforts to document and report union busting activities across the nation.

LaborLab compiles information from the U.S. Department of Labor pertaining to union busting companies and the businesses who hire them, Funk explained.

Companies who bust unions and their clients are required to report their activities to the U.S. Department of Labor, but often fail to do so because the laws are not properly enforced, Funk said. He called for stronger enforcement so there is a better understanding the extent of the problem.

The union-busting industry has grown significantly over the last few years, as companies spend about $340 million annually on anti-union campaigns, he added.
