Duluth Building and Construction Trades Council President Andy Campeau joined the America’s Work Force Union Podcast and discussed the robust workload with his jurisdiction, as the vast majority of projects are governed by Project Labor Agreements (PLAs).

The Duluth Building and Construction Trades Council is made up of 17 affiliated building trades unions, encompassing almost 7,000 members, in parts of eight Northeast Minnesota counties.

Campeau said work has been extremely busy for the past three years and expects the trend to continue for three more years. Due to supply shortages and global market changes, lead times have doubled, which allows the Council to more accurately forecast its workflow longer into the future, he added.

Campeau also discussed DBCTC affiliated apprenticeship programs, which continue to grow.
