United Auto Workers (UAW) Legislative Director Josh Nassar joined the America’s Work Force Union Podcast and discussed the bright future UAW members can look forward to thanks to the increased domestic production of electric vehicles and batteries.
As an example of this bright future, Nassar cited Ford’s recent plans to double its workforce at an assembly plant in Ohio to 3,500 members and construction of a $5.8 billion battery plant campus in Kentucky.
He also discussed the possibility of Congress revitalizing electric vehicle incentives and labor rights for autoworkers in Mexico.
