Jim Ascione, Secretary-Treasurer of the Delaware Building and Construction Trades Council, joined the America’s Work Force Union Podcast and discussed a community workforce bill passed by the Delaware State Senate that requires the use of a unionized workforce on all Prevailing Wage jobs over $3 million within the state.
The Delaware Building and Construction Trades Council has been working with state Democrats to pass the Community Workforce Agreement.
He also discussed efforts by Delaware Republicans to reinstitute So-Called “Right to Work” laws in Delaware, the need to register contractors in order to enforce Prevailing Wage laws and how the Delaware Building and Construction Trades Council is partnering with the Delaware Department of Labor to prevent worker misclassification.
